We run password resets and billing receipts on Resend. Clean API, React Email, webhooks that actually make sense. Marketing was an afterthought until we hit 50k free users.

Resend added broadcasts and automations, which we tried. Good for simple lifecycle. We layered Brew on top for campaigns that need design quality without hiring a email designer.

Customer.io was overkill for our event volume. Loops was close but we wanted agent-operable creation. Your mileage varies on list size and compliance needs.
